Quick Overview

The CRV is one of the most honest crossovers on the market, with solid performance and reliability. It is a dependable and flexible vehicle that will do almost anything without much hassle. For 2014, the revisions are more technical rather than cosmetic to enhance reliability and utility. While the CRV still looks very much like its predecessor, it is more handsome than before and has a wider stance that translates into more interior space. Its main rivals include the Toyota Rav4, Mazda CX-5, Kia Sportage and the Hyundai Tucson.

The Honda CRV is not one of the best looking crossovers on the market, its design is slightly outdated and not very unique, however it isn't offensive either, a rather subtle effort from Honda. The 2014 CRV is loosely based on the Accord, which gives it very car-like mannerisms, a comfortable and quiet ride, and decent handling for its given height. However, although it may be available in 4 wheel drive, it is not suited for off-road terrain; it feels at home on highways and around town where it becomes a very easy car to drive. Available in three trim levels, all of which are powered by a solid, reliable 2.4 Litre 4 cylinder with 188 HP, that does move the CRV with relative ease no matter the condition.

Inside, the 2014 CRV does get nifty little updates that make everyday driving more bearable. Even the entry level LX model gets automatic headlights, keyless entry, rear-view camera, and Bluetooth. The interior design however is a little more exciting than the exterior, everything flows neatly and all gadgets are logically laid out and being a Honda, you can be assured that everything will still work perfectly well for a number of years.
