As existing and potential buyers become more finicky than ever before, Government regulations on emissions and manufacturing get increasingly obstinate and the society advents into an era where electric vehicles will reign supreme, automobile brands have had to take a very crooked and unique route to chart out their future strategies and plans to contend in an increasingly sophisticated environment.

Recently, Jaguar Land Rover group announced the constitution of its Advisory Council, ‘Further’ which will be the keystone in spurring future decisions to roll out products from both the brands that will be more appealing and relevant to Generation Alpha, or the future eon.

A critical job of the council is to predict vogues in the political, cultural and technological domains to provide pragmatic and path-breaking revealing for a portentous future of the Range Rover, Discovery and Defender models beyond 2040. The council will also scaffold the company’s diligence towards Industry 5.0 where automobiles rolling off the assembly line will be comprehensively worked upon rather than merely focussing on efficiency and productivity aspects. This will also augment the brand’s payoff to the society in a rewarding manner.

To make up a council that can lay adequate stress on all aspects determining the future course of the brand, industry veterans from eight heterogeneous fields, other than Automotive encapsulating cyborg anthropology, sustainability, blockchain technology, cyber-security, business investment, health and well-being and metaverse have been hired. This ensemble will determine extremely crucial action plans that would be relevant to Generation Alpha and will be a linchpin in framing JLR’s outlook on distant innovations, opportunities and ideas vital to potential customers.

François Dossa, Executive Director, Strategy and Sustainability, at Jaguar Land Rover, said:

“One of the core principles of Jaguar Land Rover’s vision of modern luxury is to create unique, curated experiences for the most discerning clients. It was a privilege to explore possible futures and how the scenarios could impact our future clients’ lifestyle, aspirations and needs, with such inspiring international thought leaders. This project will help Jaguar Land Rover to be bold and innovative in shaping how our business caters to future generations.”

Through its Reimagine strategy, Land Rover seeks to create the most tempting luxury vehicles and experiences that shall adorn its vision of the future. The brand is anticipated to transcend into an electric-first enterprise as it plans to curtail carbon emissions wholly by 2039. Next-to-next year, the brand will also launch its fully-electric iteration of the Range Rover and by 2025, the Jaguar brand is set to have only battery-powered vehicles in its portfolio.
