Nissan opens the gates of Expo 2020 Dubai this morning in true ceremonial fashion

Moments, these special occasions are the ones with which a company ushers into a new era and creates history. To offer something special to the visitors, Joni Paiva, Divisional Vice President for Africa, Middle-East, India and Oceania (AMIO) at Nissan Motor Corporation seized the opportunity to open the gates of the event today. It was a major breakthrough for the brand which strives to work incessantly towards its sustainability objectives and opening of Dubai’s Sustainability portal works as a catalyst in that path. Thousands of visitors bore witness to the major event as it dedicated its advent to the vital collaborators and biggies. 

Also attending the event, was Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director at Nissan Middle East whose presence was appreciated and the brand’s yardsticks of carbon neutrality were highlighted as they align with the UAE’s 2050 Net Zero strategic initiative. Sustainable products, ideas and opportunities are the flagbearers of a vibrant tomorrow and such concepts being conversed about at a place home to futuristic concepts makes for an ideal backdrop besides giving the masses, a glance at what to expect in the future.

To provide approbation for the conscious efforts put in by the employees, 30 employees who have played a key role in heralding Nissan Expo participation were present and their sincere efforts made them receive were cherished. 

All those who came to soak in the beauty of the event were welcomed at the edifice sized and elegant gate which welcomes the visitors every day to a different world where mojos come to life. The unique bit about this gate is that it has been designed by Asif Khan, an eminent London-based architect.

Being the Official Automotive Partner of Expo 2020 Dubai, Nissan took the opportunity to perform the gate opening ceremony.
