Quick Overview

The 2014 Chevrolet Impala is a fine looking car with its butch looks and aggressive stance, coupled with tons of technology. It is one tempting choice for those looking for a large sedan. The last generation Impala was rather mediocre, but the 2014 model is leap years ahead. Its main competitors include the; Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon and the Dodge Charger.

The 2014 Impala sits on a larger platform, which in return gives a lot space, offering a more practical solution for those not wanting an SUV. Despite being a large car, the Impala does not look that big, it hides its size very well and looks very classy and elegant. The angular styling and big rims makes it look the part despite having a more conventional and reserved design than its competitors. The 2014 Impala has a front wheel drive layout, while this is not the sportiest of layouts, it does a fine job with handling its size around corners and offers quite a nice ride. Available in three trim levels; LS, LT and LTZ, all of which are powered by a 3.6 Litre V6 that makes 305 HP. It is more than decent for everyday driving and will move the big Chevy without hesitation at any given time.

The interior is where Chevrolet has paid a lot of attention, it has the biggest cabin in its class. It has a very contemporary style and feels solidly built. The Impala is big on safety, with 10 standard airbags and a host pre-collision and assist systems, it is one of the safest vehicles on the market. Standard equipment is average, with rear park assist and cruise control on all cars. The more expensive LTZ package offers a lot more kit and is very good value, with features such as an 8 inch touch screen, Lane Keep Assist, Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and leather. The 2014 Impala is a good looking, affordable and offers a ton of gadgets that is bordering on luxury.
