Quick Review

The Audi A7 is a luxury sedan that sits in the Audi range neatly perched, as you might expect, between the A8 and the A6. At around AED 72,000 cheaper than the A8, this is much sportier car compared with the sedan styled A8 and is styled and equipped in that niche of the market.

The A7 is placed in the market in terms of price and, to some degree styling, alongside the BMW luxury Hatchback, the 535 Gran Turismo and the Mercedes CLS. The price tag for the 3 vehicles is fairly similar and based on looks alone the Audi probably fits in the middle, above the BMW, but not quite as classy as the Mercedes.

The truncated rear of the car does add to its stylish appearance, but for this there is a price to pay, as a result the rear seat space is less than adequate and this is certainly not a car for the family, or if you need to take your parents out for a drive. In fact generally the interior is quite narrow and this is not a car for a tall driver. The 245 bhp 3L V6 engine makes it, as is the Audi tradition, a powerful machine on the road.

The low centre of gravity from the coupe styled chassis make the car fast and grippy. The speed sensitive steering and fast accelerator response make the car intuitive and really enhance the driving experience. Overall if you want a sporty luxury sedan that will make your neighbors stare at you enviously, the A7 is not a bad choice.
