Quick Review

The Ford Crown Victoria or “Crown Vic” as many people like to refer to it, is well known for being used as taxi's or police vehicles in America. From 1998 right up until the 2012 model, the Ford Crown Victoria has not altered it's look one bit.

The Crown Victoria comes equipped with a powerful 4.6 liter 8 cylinder engine that is capable of producing 224 horsepower and a whopping 368 Nm. Disappointing though is the fact that it takes 9.3 seconds to achieve 100 km/h and only comes with a 4 speed transmission.

In terms of the interior, the Crown Victoria doesn't fail to impress. The words “roomy” and “spacious” do not do justice for describing how large and comfortable the interior is. The fact that 3 people can be seated in the front makes the Crown Victoria an ideal 6 seater family sedan. The accelerator and brake pedal can also be adjusted ensuring you have the ideal driving position.

For 14 years, Ford has adopted the same design for the Crown Victoria and quite frankly it has become stale. Having said that, people will surely miss seeing the Crown Victoria around since production has been put to a halt.

If the Ford Crown Victoria does not meet your specifications, make sure you look at the Chevrolet Caprice, Lexus ES and the Chrysler 300C.
