Quick Review

The F-250 is a part of Ford's heavy duty pickup truck line and new for 2012 is a stronger body and improved towing capability.

The F-250 is available with either a 6.2 liter 8 cylinder engine capable of producing 385 horsepower and 550 Nm or a 6.7 liter 10 cylinder engine capable of producing 400 horsepower and 1084 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission and work on an all-wheel drive system.

As for the interior, opting for the base models will get you an interior that has an abundance of hard plastics however the range topping models come equipped with leather seats and a range of luxurious options such as a navigation system and Microsoft's SYNC system. Safety features that come standard on all models include side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes and roll stability.

In terms of the exterior, the Ford F-250 isn't a very handsome car. The design is dated and looks dull when compared to its competitors. However, that shouldn't really matter because anyone who purchases this vehicle will be doing it for the performance and not for the looks. Since the F-250 is so versatile, it can be configured in numerous ways to ensure that you can use can use the same vehicle during the day for work and take your family out at night in extreme comfort too.

If however, the Ford F-250 doesn't tick the right boxes for you, you might want to look at the Chevrolet Avalanche, Cadillac Escalade EXT and the GMC Sierra.
