Quick Overview

The redesigned 2014 Lexus GS has its sight set firmly on the Germans. With a new face, it looks more formal and refined than before while still keeping the traditional sense of Lexus reliability, comfort and solid build quality. The 2014 GS poses a serious threat to Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series and Audi A6.

While the car itself is completely new, engines remain the same, tweaked to deliver more power and better response; they remain excellent and make very capable units. The dramatic change is handling and ride. It has improved so much that it now compares equally with the benchmark leader in this segment, the BMW 5 Series. This is a proper valiant effort by Lexus. The car has been set up to be more fun, nimble and sportier than the model it replaced.

The interior has been completely reworked to create a more "Zen" atmosphere, quiet, clean and very luxurious, materials are of the highest grade and entertainment system is one of the best on the market. Lexus has been known to create very comfortable cars, and the 2014 GS does not disappoint. Dignified and poised in nature, Lexus has created a very tempting alternative to the Germans.
