Quick Overview

The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is one of the most stylish convertibles in it's price range of around 200,000 AED for a V8. There are three engine choices, namely the 3.6L V6, 6.2L V8 and 6.2L V8 Supercharged. The main rival for Camaro Convertible is Ford Mustang Convertible which is also very similar in terms of price. The Chevy Camaro is one of the most fun cars to drive around town, especially with top down in cooler months of hot Gulf countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. However in Middle Eastern countries the climate is generally quite hot during the year and this is why most people prefer buying the the Chevrolet Camaro Coupe rather than the Convertible.

The plus points of the Camaro include a great engine which produces slightly more power compared to the Mustang. For example, the 6.2 SS V8 produces 432 HP whereas the Mustang Convertible V8 produces 419 HP. Another plus point of the Camaro is the style; this car is one of the most iconic American styled cars in history. It has been featured countless times in movies, including Cars, Fast and Furious and several others. The new 2014 Chevrolet Camaro has tweaked this style even further with improved lights and a narrower grille. Also included is a functional vent upfront that improves air flow.

Among the negative points, the interior finishing, while improved still could be improved further. For example, the front dash area is not soft touch and some plastics can be felt in areas around the car. One minor point is that the soft top hood does not come down while driving, the car needs to be in standstill for the hood to come down, which takes about 20 seconds. Finally in terms of interior space, the rear seats have cramped leg room so effectively it's suitable for kids but not for adults.
