Quick Review

Audi entered the SUV segment with it's large Q7 and then worked it's way to the compressed Q5. The journey however didn't stop there since Audi have recently introduced an even smaller SUV, the Q3.

There are two engine variants available on the Q3; a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine that is capable of producing 170 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque or the more powerful 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine which produces 211 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a seven speed variable transmission.

In terms of the interior, high quality soft touch materials can be seen and felt everywhere. Due to the spacious interior, having 5 adults sit comfortably in the Q3 isn't an issue. The Q3 also offers excellent front, rear and sidewards visibility. Cargo space is also impressive with 460 liters which expands up to 1365 liters with the rear seats folded down. A few brilliant features include the panoramic glass roof, adaptive headlights and the 14 speaker Bose sound system.

From the exterior, the Q3 looks like a hatchback on steroids. It isn't very tall and neither is it wide and bulky like other SUV's. The rear end does boast quite a lot of similarity to the Audi A1. All in all though, the exterior isn't very appealing and could have been designed better.

If for whatever reason the Audi Q3 isn't the right choice for you, be sure to check out the BMW X1, Nissan Qashqai and the Toyota Rav4.
