Quick Review

The XKR-S is Jaguar's highly tuned version of the beautiful XK that also happens to be the most powerful Jaguar and offers absolutely ballistic performance. It seemed impossible in the beginning to make the already beautiful XK any better, however Jaguar have done it again this time round.

The XKR-S is fitted with a 5.0 liter 8 cylinder engine that produces a whopping 550 horsepower and a ground shaking 680 Nm of torque. Mated to a 6 speed automatic transmission, the XKR-S is capable of a 0 – 100 km/h run in 4.2 seconds and boasts a top speed of 300 km/h. Driving performance is out of this world with acceleration that pins your head to the back of the seat and brakes that pull your face off. Hearing the deep growl from the exhaust when you open it up brings an instant smile to your face and is a great background rumble when stuck in traffic.

As for the interior, Jaguar have not compromised on the luxury factor and you will find yourself surrounded by high quality materials in the interior. The large leather wrapped bucket seats offer plenty of adjustment options and never fail to hold you in place even through the sharpest turns. Though the XKR-S is fitted with rear seats, we wouldn't recommend seating adults in the back, unless you don't really like them.

From the exterior, the vents near the hood, large wheels, red brake calibers, spoiler and quad exhausts are just a few things to ensure you do not confuse the XKR-S for a normal XKR. We'd like to describe the XKR-S as the perfect combination of the beauty and the beast. If however, you tend to disagree, you might want to check out the BMW 6 Series, Mercedes-Benz SL Class and the Maserati GranTurismo.
