Al Futtaim Group Orient Insurance President wins Family Business Award

In case you’re wondering the Al Futtaim Group has been in news frequently over some time, it is because the brand has been goading some valorous moves. The launch of its exclusive restaurant, Intersect by Lexus Dubai, the ZOOM car subscription service and the establishment of a new pre-owned car facility are all momentous moves spinning the brand towards a vibrant and sustainable future.

To recognise and commemorate the disciplined attitude of its employees and their creativity, the brand’s Orient Insurance President, Omer Elamin has been felicitated with the Family Business Award.

He has won the Non-Family Executive award at the highly famed Family Business Awards. The Deserving Elamin concluded his fourth decade with one of the largest and fastest growing brands in the UAE and his notable contributions to the conglomerate include relentless innovation strategies through which he spun growth in the organisation. 

The event was hosted by the Family Business Council Gulf (FBCG), a private, non-profit membership organisation acting as a statutory body to portray family businesses in the GCC which identifies the runaway success of the top-scoring family-run corporates across eons.

It also focuses on and addresses imbroglios based in the GCC region and scaffold cognitive progress on aspects such as family business management and its succession, family governance, business successor enrichment and family communication. 

It’s awe-inspiring to witness such innovative methods of promoting businesses in the UAE, a region which the world has laid its eyes on for trade and commerce. Leaders, if highlighted by such methods, would be greatly motivated to contribute more value to their respective organisations ensuring collective prosperity. Family Businesses invest and reap larger benefits compared against other types of businesses owing to their robust foundation, size and influence over others.
