Cadillac XLR is an Expensive Hybrid

GM has introduced the successor of the Chevrolet Volt. No, it’s not the replacement. Instead, its Caddy’s take on the electric vehicle and all we can say is “Tesla, watch out”.
The ELR is a plug-in hybrid – like the Volt – which means the gas engine is almost entirely used to charge the batteries. Almost - because the 1.4 liter is put in use to drive when the car is moving at a speed above 100 km/h.
Some of the features of the car are as follows:
· 1.4 L gasoline engine matted to a 16.5 kWh battery pack
· CUE infotainment system
· Navigation
· Safety features like lane departure warning and forward collision alert
· Regen on Demand
All this will cost you a whopping AED 280,000. In comparison, a Tesla Model S will cost you AED 220,000 and will give you better power and range as that is the basic requirement for any electric car.
