The Nissan Ariya SUV unfolds a new chapter in Nissan’s journey as it makes calculated moves towards the future of mobility launching smart, connected and sustainable vehicles which execute a true sense of pizzazz in the way these new generation kids appear. Going one down to provide ignition to the engine, is the Ariya electric crossover SUV, the brand’s latest addition to its SUV portfolio and arguably, the most technologically advanced brainchild.

Prior to its regional launch in the UAE, the Ariya was showcased at Expo’s Dubai Exhibition Centre demonstrating the future of mobility and Nissan’s astute focus on sustainability and goal to produce zero carbon emissions by 2050. As a part of Nissan’s “Let’s Move” campaign, Joni Paiva, Divisional Vice President for Africa, Middle-East, India and Oceania (AMIO), Nissan Motor Corporation and Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director, Nissan Middle-East, the event saw attendees such as regional media houses, business partners and the VIPs along with Expo 2020 Dubai Executives and the public being mesmerised by thus highly path-breaking product. The guests were digitally introduced to Nissan’s 3 key pillars of Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity, also the major themes of Expo 2020, coincidentally.

Joni Paiva, who also had the privilege to commence the show on one of its days by opening the gates said, “As we remain committed to our purpose of driving innovation to enrich people’s lives, Expo 2020 Dubai is the perfect platform to showcase the Nissan Ariya, to signal what is yet to come in the future of smart and sustainable mobility. This event is a fitting start to our participation at Expo 2020 Dubai, and we are excited to bring our global expertise, technological know-how and regional knowledge to visitors, and help accelerate the shift to a safer, smarter, more sustainable and connected world.”

Nissan asserted and made headlines at the event affirming its goals of achieving carbon neutrality in its processes and products by 2050. It also shed light on how far it has advanced and the direction in which it vanguards by making technological advancements and switching to a better quality of life. Nissan Intelligent Mobility, a phrase we have heard or rather gazed at with every Nissan product ad, elucidates the setting up of Nissan Intelligent Factory at its Tochigi plant and EV36Zero, a 1 billion GBP electric vehicle hub in the UK with providing technological advancements for carbon footprint limited to a zilch.

Along with such an innovative EV, Nissan also introduced ProPILOT, a package encapsulating a gamut of advanced driver assistance systems.

The Ariya, with its brawny street presence, characteristic EV traits and an interior which is unlike anything else seen from Nissan or any brand in the past, has shouldered the responsibility of being a great car to start an outright EV revolution phenomenally well.

To ensure Nissan grabs the opportunity of being highlighted even more in the region through the Expo, they have supplied a lineup 600 vehicles to show its latest technology and innovation.

Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director, Nissan Middle East, commented, “Expo 2020 Dubai provides an unmatched platform for Nissan to bring to the fore its leadership role and longstanding focus on innovative, human-centric mobility solutions. Our heritage in the region continues to move us forward, and we are proud to be associated with an event of this scale that brings to life decisions and ideas that will shape our collective future. By daring to do what others don’t, we are proud to be in a position to share our global vision for the future of mobility with our trusted partners and customers across the region.”

Sholto Douglas-Home, Chief Sales & Marcomms Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai, said, “One of Expo 2020 Dubai’s key missions is to create dialogue around a more sustainable future in the area of mobility. Innovation in mobility is both transforming the way we live today and driving human progress into tomorrow and beyond. We look forward to seeing Nissan help lead conversations that will shape the future of mobility at Expo 2020.”

Nissan will also showcase everything about its future from decisions taken to models launched on the Nissan NEXT website which comes across as a website with snazzy graphics to make it oriented towards the future and has already started providing glimpse of all that Nissan has done recently and will be doing in the ELECTRIFYING years to come.
