Presenting the Devel Sixteen

This is the most outrageous car in the Dubai Motor Show. The Devel Sixteen, touted as "Made in Dubai", has the most unheard stats for a road legal vehicle.

It sounds exciting on paper but things are not as easy as they sound. If we look at the Veyron, which was the greatest achievement in the automotive industry in the last decade, it took Volkswagen a good 8 years to generate 1,000 bhp from an 8.0 liter W16 engine and a couple years more to squeeze an extra 200 bhp and after all that, VW is selling each Veyron at a multi-million dollar loss. Also there are hardly any roads in the world to test this car at top speed. Moreover, there are no road-legal tires that can handle such speed.

We must say though, it is definitely an ambitious project by the petrolheads of U.A.E. The design of the car is inspired from Pagani Huayra and Lamborghini Veneno.

Will all this craziness see the light of day? Only time will tell.
